AFFECT: What's Happening

The annual meeting for Americans for Fair Electronic Commerce Transactions (AFFECT) will be held on October 10 at the offices of the American Council of Life Insurers in Washington, DC (1001 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20004). The meeting should run from 9:00am to 3:00pm, and lunch will be served. If you are interested in attending, by September 5.

This meeting will be an important part of our 2002 campaign effort. In addition to a recap of our 2001 activities, we will be discussing new issues and hot states for 2002, an update on bombshelter legislation, fundraising and member recruitment. We will also be electing board members for the 2002 effort.

Those AFFECT members who have filled out registration forms are eligible to vote for board members. If you are unsure of whether or not you are eligible, . Ballots and nominating forms will be sent out to members.
